Today was our Emergency Drill Day at RCS. Students completed: a fire drill, a lock-down practice, a school bus safety course, as well as a go home early drill (10 min). A big thank you to all of the hands that help create a safe environment for our scholars to learn and thrive!
Mrs. Gestwicki's first grade students have been learning all about sound during Science. Students pictured below are building a sound wave model. Students have been learning that sound is created by vibration. Great job scholars!
There was a lot of excitement in 5th grade yesterday. Students added Guppies and Snails to their Fresh Water Aquariums. Biology, chemistry, ecology, and physics are just a few of the sciences involved in aquarium keeping. Great job scholars!

Our fourth grade students have been enjoying learning all about crayfish during their Science unit. These brave scholars picked them up and observed the different body parts of these crustaceans in action. Great job!

We are excited to welcome students in grades K-6 back on Tuesday 9/7. The first day for all PK students will be Thursday 9/9. Breakfast will be served from 7:45 to 8:15 daily. The school day begins at 8:15. Dismissal will be at 3:20.
Students in grades 3-6 that attend Eagle U have the option to receive weekly golf instruction. A big thank you goes out to Lakeside Golf Course for reaching out to the school. The first lesson focused on proper putting technique. It's not too late to sign up!

Students created marble mazes for their friends to try and solve during Eagle U this week. It was impressive to see the creativity and craftsmanship of the final products. Great job!
Our Eagle U scholars conducted archaeological digs this week and carefully chipped away rock to discover ancient remains.
