Second grade had a great time on their skiing adventure! It was a first for everyone and required lots of Grit! Getting pushed out of their comfort zones wasn't easy but the smiles show it was worth it. Great job scholars!
PK Registration for the 2023-2024 year has begun. Parents may register their children by contacting the Guidance Office at 716-736-7232. To be eligible for the UPK Program, a child must turn three years old on or before December 1, 2023.
If you know of any neighbors or friends who have children of UPK3 or UPK4 age who might not see this notice, please inform them of our registration.
We will be offering tours and answering parent questions once the process begins. We look forward to meeting our youngest scholars and families.
Mr. James Lemanski visited our 4th Grade students to distribute American Flags. Mr. Lemanski shared what makes someone a veteran as well as how to honor and thank them. A big thank you goes out to the American Legion for providing this learning experience for our students.
Reminder to all Ripley Central School Parents and Guardians: RCS students will be dismissed today at 11:50 am. Additionally, there will be no school Monday, February 20 through Friday, February 24 for Mid-Winter Recess. Enjoy your break.
Grade 4 has been learning all about energy during their science block. They were glowing with excitement today as they learned about creating a circuit.

Kindergarten celebrated the number 100 on Friday, February 10 (the 100th day of school for K-6 students). Students dressed up as if they were 100 years old. They also counted hundreds of objects. A big thank you to the second graders that got in on the counting fun.
A big thank you goes out to the PTO for hosting Friday's Spread the Love event. Students made Valentines, decorated cookies, and donated non perishable goods to the Riple Food Pantry. Great job!

More than 50 students participated in January's Gymnastics After School Program. Students were flipping, tumbling, rolling, dancing, jumping, and having a great time! A big thank you goes out to the staff that made this program the success that it was.
The following students were recognized this morning for exhibiting one or more of the Ripley Character Strengths; Grit, Respect, Responsibility, Leadership, and Thankfulness. Great job scholars!

Kindergarten scholars have been learning how living things impact the environment. Students worked in groups to prepare soil to make it sturdy enough for a house. They tested their hypotheses by using legos and blocks to build a house and document how the environment changed.
Members of the Chautauqua Lake Student Admin Team visited RCS yesterday to deliver candy-grams to each student. CLCS students introduced themselves during a school-wide Crew Celebration and then visited individual classrooms to read a story and make the deliveries.
PK-G6 students visited the Ripley Public Library to decorate the mini trees and listen to a story. The upcoming Winter Break begins on 12/22 with students returning on 1/3. Families are encouraged to visit the library over the break to check out the trees. Great job scholars!
The Kindergarten and 3-6 Select Chorus did a wonderful job performing their Holiday Concert this past Tuesday. It was wonderful to see the gymnasium packed with friends and family. A big thank you goes out to Mrs. M for her work with these musicians. They did great!
RCS Staff will be kicking off the Christmas in Ripley festivities at 6:30pm this evening by caroling on a hay-less hay-wagon. The wagon will be traveling around the village of Ripley and families are encouraged to come outside if they hear singing. Pictured is map of the route.
