Students in Mrs. Johnston's 3rd grade class have been studying the life cycle of the Painted Lady Butterfly. The kids were excited to see the larvae beginning to transition into the pupa stage. All of our scholars have been excellent caregivers. Great job!

RCS students celebrated Better World Day on 5/6/22. Each class planned events and activities to make their world and community a better place. Student's in Ms. Riley's class made cards and bracelets to send to Ukrainian refugees to welcome them to Buffalo.

Grade 3 began the next topic in science titled "The Circle of Life: Life Cycles and Traits". Scholars will explore the entire life cycle of the Painted Lady Butterfly and will release them when they reach adulthood. Students are doing a great job caring for their caterpillars!

Grade 4 students participated in a virtual field trip to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee. They learned all about the forces that move the Earth and how erosion, volcanoes, and weathering help to shape our planet. Ranger Syd was a wonderful adventure guide.
